Our East Lake first-grade students met with their fifth-grade "buddies" to work together on their Valentines for Veterans project. Each pair wrote a card for a veteran, thanking them for their service and wishing them a happy Valentine's Day.

Mrs. Lindroth's class embarked on a festive learning adventure with a dedicated "Reindeer Day." Together as a class, the students read a nonfiction passage about reindeer. As they read, they discovered facts, from the remarkable adaptations that allow reindeer to thrive in the Arctic to their unique behaviors.
